External invoicing
Yven ships with its own invoicer, but if you already run your books in QuickBooks Online or FreshBooks, you can have invoices land there instead – built in Yven, delivered and tracked in your accounting package.
Connecting a provider
In Settings, find your invoicing mode and connect QuickBooks Online or FreshBooks. You’ll be sent to the provider to authorise the connection, then returned to Yven. From then on, new invoices route to that provider.
Your provider login is a secret: it’s handled by the provider’s own sign-in and is never shown in Yven, written to logs, or included in your exports.
How a push works
Build the invoice exactly as you would for the built-in invoicer. When you create or push it, Yven sends it to your provider and records the result. If a push ever fails – an expired connection, a provider hiccup – Yven tells you plainly and gives you a retry; nothing is silently lost, and you can refresh an invoice’s status to pull the latest state back from the provider.
Switching back
Disconnect the provider (or choose use built-in invoicing) any time to return to Yven’s own invoicer. Existing invoices keep their history; only where new ones go changes.
