Yven Help

The renewal digest

Rather than nag you with a notification per renewal, Yven sends one email, at 8am in your own timezone, covering both sides of the picture: anything already overdue, and anything coming up on your reminder lead days. It’s the safety net behind the Today screen: even on a day you don’t open the app, you still hear about a domain that’s about to lapse.

Two triggers, one email

Two independent things decide whether – and what – you hear about each morning:

  • Overdue items – anything already past its renewal date is included every single morning until you deal with it. There’s no lead-day condition here: overdue is overdue every day.
  • Upcoming items – included only when a service’s renewal date matches one of your reminder lead days (set in Settings as a comma-separated list – 60, 30, 14, 7, 1 by default). Each value is its own trigger point, not a window – a service reminds you once on each matching day, not every day in between.

If either applies that morning, you get one email with whichever section(s) are relevant – just overdue, just upcoming, or both together. If neither applies, nothing is sent that day.

Example. Your lead days are the default 60, 30, 14, 7, 1, and you also have one overdue domain. Every morning at 8am you get an email listing that overdue domain, whether or not anything else is coming up. Separately, a different service renewing on July 20 adds a “coming up” section to that same email on exactly five mornings – May 21, June 20, July 6, July 13, and July 19 – and is silent on every other day. Miss all five lead days and it joins the “overdue” section instead, appearing every morning from then on.

Timezone-aware

The digest is sent on your clock. The timezone you set in Settings decides both when the 8am email goes out and how “N days out” / “N days overdue” is calculated, so nothing reads as due a day early or late.

No repeats

Yven remembers what it has already told you about today, so you never get more than one digest per day – running the underlying job twice, or partially, never double-sends. When you mark a service renewed its date moves forward and it drops out of the digest until it next comes due (or joins the overdue section, if it lapses again). Snoozing an item moves attention forward without changing the real renewal date.

Not getting it?

Transactional email depends on your mail setup. If the digest isn’t arriving, check spam first, then see “I’m not receiving emails”.
